Wow, even attaching files is unnecessarily hard with web mailers. Why, exactly, does anyone use them?

With web mail, you don't need to worry at all about installing, updating, security, maintenance of the program. You have a browser? You can email. That's the best thing about it. If you need power, then you will go for an actual email client. That's why businesses and other "serious" places uses clients while the general populace uses webmail. Much more convenient.Tuxman wrote:Wow, even attaching files is unnecessarily hard with web mailers.
What concerns me is that it's possible for a web app to know that we're dragging a file to it and act accordingly. Yet, I don't think any web mail service takes advantage of that yet. Perhaps an issue with deploying? I don't know.

Security is one of the main concerns, yes. I want to know what it does. I don't trust others to handle my mails responsibly.Enternal wrote:With web mail, you don't need to worry at all about installing, updating, security, maintenance of the program.
