xplorer2 t-shirt

Post by nikos »

I wonder if anybody would be interested in a x2 logo bearing t-shirt, with a nominal charge to cover raw materials and postage?
it would be uniquely hand-made by the x2 embroidering team (that would be the wife :))

Not that anyone mentioned that 5 years ago or anything when you were suffering from the constant-inebriated look that nobody thought would ever actually attract you a wife... :D

And, really, the 40,000'th post had to be about merchandising and not functionality? My god, man, you have truly embodied the 21st century.

Function follows form. Guess why Mac OS X is so attracting.
And then again, nikos didn't do much marketing yet. I recently stumbled upon the ancient 2xExplorer website, probably the first and only (?) xplorer2 advertising campaign ever published. I'd guess the sheer number of users who came from knowing someone who knows someone who used xplorer2 before is a relevant factor.

But I wouldn't buy an x2 shirt. It's becoming colder here in Germany.

Will you take special orders for size and color?

Sounds like it could cost more than the software.

@Kilmatead
that t-shirt and all the picture was a fabrication. I had long hair back then and narayan decided I needed an artificial haircut :)

I am not sure about the delivery cost but the total should be under $20 even if you are living at the other end of the world

Then I can do naught but reciprocate, as you appear to be losing it now by force of nature...

Since you've only gotten one answer to the original question, and that was negative, let me say "yes". It's quite warm in San Diego and the only thing I wear is t-shirts. I like ones that draw a blank stare in the grocery checkout line. Will there be any catchy slogan or just the logo?

Hopefully, we will not be contributing to any sweatshop conditions...

Oh, now there's a grand question... will it be the old logo everyone liked or the new one everyone hates?

Hmm... I guess you didn't learn anything from the woldwide backlash against that Cambodian Khaki you tried to pass off as a website colour a few years ago...

Green and yellow... so we're either Mauritanian, Jamaican, Cocos Islanders, Cypriots, or from Macau. I imagine people would appreciate (i,e, "pay extra for") a little wriggle-room against the tide of your... umm.... John Deerean Tyranny. Just a thought.

How about a orange T-shirt to match the orange in xplorer2 Ultimate Taskbar icon?

I'd prefer the gold icon in xplorer2 Pro. That's what I see day in and day out and the t-shirt would be a way of displaying my connection to the software. If you make up something that's not in (some version of) the software or at least on the web site, the connection is weak.
