folder tree filtering

Post by nikos »

I am thinking about what to add in v4.4 and in particular filtering in the tree. I don't even use the tree, so if YOU do, please let me know what you think

the idea is to either use a permanent filter to show only some folders (e.g. according to a wildcard), or something temporary using the quickfilter box.

would anyone find tree filtering a useful feature?

Hi Nikos,

What about getting rid of this Windows folder that, at least for me are useless: 3D Objects, Documents, Music, Downloads, Pictures, Videos, Libraries...

At the same time it would be nice to add folders you usually access (complementing bookmarks). Maybe adding a container of custom folders in the tree, let's say for instance: sanferno (container) with folders C:/Data/Project1 and D:/OtherData/Project2 inside of it.

That's just some two ideas that pops up in my head, you might like them or not

I use the tree but there is a lot of clutter. A filter would be very useful.

You didn't really ask about OTHER suggestions, but I'm sure you won't mind :D

CHECKBOXES in the file lists

There, I said it!

the equivalent to checkboxes is sticky selection mode (ALT+S keys)
