When I right click the icon on the taskbar in W10, I get the task list (jumplist?) which lists a number of folders. If I right click a folder in the list I only get the option of opening it. How can I delete folders in the list or clear the whole list - several folders present are way out of date and don't exits any more!
Thanks

these folders are those that you are using most frequently, the top 10. As you use other folders more, they will climb up. If you want to remove them manually, you must edit the registry while xplorer2 is not running
HKCU\Software\ZabaraKatranemia Plc\xplorer2_UC.global\FrequentDir
you cannot remove individual folders, the lot must go!

Hi Nikos
Thank you!
There are a couple of reasons why I am grateful for having discovered your programmes a couple of decades ago! Firstly Explorer2 and secondly the level of support you offer!

Hi
Sorry to be a wuss but I've opened the Reg Editor and jumped to
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZabaraKatranemia Plc\xplorer2_UC.global\FrequentDir
The Data value is (value not set). If I click on Data I get the option to create a 'New' 'Key' or a choice of from 6 'values' headed by 'string'
Basically I'm stuck...
Going up a level, I can delete the FrequentDir folder but I don't want to screw up the registry entry!
How do I make the statement '
you cannot remove individual folders, the lot must go!' happen?
Dave

select the FrequentDir branch on the left (tree) pane and press delete key. Make sure xplorer2 is not running

Hi - I did that and the folder has disappeared in RegEdit and is recreated when I open xplorer2 but the folder list under tasks is still there.
I've tried rebooting before opening the program - the FrequentDir folder has been recreated but the list is still there on the W10 taskbar
I've searched the Registry for FrequentDir (desperation!) and it only finds the one
Am I missing something?

I see what you mean. The taskbar must be storing the old folders somewhere else!? However, as you start using xplorer2 with your new existing folders, after a couple of restarts the list will be updated

Despite numerous reboots and opening and closing the program the task list on the taskbar isn't changing. I wonder if anyone else is having a similar issue. I guess I could try uninstalling and reinstalling but since it seems to be controlled by Windows I suppose it won't work.

do the folders that show up in the taskbar list agree with GOTO > FREQUENT submenu? The top 10 entries?

For me : no. Some are missing is the taskbar
In the taskbar I see: 0 ; 1 ; 2 ; 3 : 4 ; 5 ; 9 ; 13 ; 14 ; 15
Is it really the most frequent used? I find it hard to believe

you must compare the lists when you first start xplorer2. Once you start using the program and browse folders, the frequent folders list changes dynamically, so differences may arise, until the next time you restart xplorer2

0 ; 1 ; 2 ; 3 ; 4 ; 6 ; 5 ; 7 ; 8 ; 9
