the documentation is now complete, and some small fixes:
* Added REMOVE command in quick access list's context menu to be used for removing items from the QAL. DELETE menu does the same but it could be misinterpreted in other regular tree nodes, where delete means REAL delete of the actual folder!
* Registry tree option FTCOPT_QALNODROPTARGET (=2048) prevents stuff dropped INSIDE folders in quick access list. You lose some of the shell functionality, but prevent accidental moves inside folders, when all you meant to do was insert an item in the QAL!
* A pane's Miller property is persistent when you quit xplorer². The folders themselves are not saved, but upon restart "Column mode" is enabled and you can start side-by-side browsing immediately.
also the ALT key should work ok with miller columns
unless you discover a big problem, we're just waiting for the translations and v5 "final" will be released before the end of the month
I found that, when connecting to the Windows computer running xplorer² via Remote Desktop, xplorer²'s window looks blurry and the fonts look wrong. That might well be related to Remote Desktop. (Maybe you should try it yourself?) However, I have just logged in to the physical computer again and the window (which I had not closed) still looked blurry.
The update fixed it, naturally, but I have not tested the new version over Remote Desktop yet.
edit: It turns out that Remote Desktop seems to be the culprit - even the Explorer looks wrong (or: even wronger than before?) now. Sorry, just ignore me.

Bug in the Settings Editor: The option to "Automatically open selected folder in a new pane (after timeout)" is not saved. Check, Apply, close, open, unchecked again.

it works for me! Yuu must UNtick manual mode if you choose automatic because xplorer2 will not do automatic if both are ticked. So it is a fault in the logic of the editor really, we needed a mutually exclusive radio button ,,,
Honestly, rather good, if we skip the subtle differences (e.g. the purging of the folder stack after a restart).
As the only other file manager on Windows which has Miller Columns (as far as I know) is the One Commander, it would not be fair to compare the workhorse xplorer2 to the playful everything-must-be-animated competitor, so I won’t start a monologue about my desperate need for more animations, especially as macOS’s Finder does not animate its columns either...
I have not found a blocker bug yet.
A slider for the timeout would be nice though ...

I'll be playing with it later today. Even though I made a full backup of my phone a few days ago, I'll be making another one today in order to prepare it for the Android 12 "Sno-Cone" Dev Preview 1. So, I'll give the latest ßeta a good run today.
The scary part? I use less than 25% of the capabilities of Xplorer².
I copied the files from my phone just a bit ago - 0 problems connecting to my phone and copying in both directions. I've now upgraded the phone to the new A12 DP1, so I'll play with Miller columns and a few other things to see if I can break them again.
mouse peek can also be used with the keyboard, the default shortcut is ALT+Q but if you cannot see it, just assign a new shortcut for the menu item (see VIEW menu) using CUSTOMIZE > KEYBOARD
@FrizzleFry isn't gray your favorite pizza topping then?
sorry but the color scheme is generated automatically since I don't know before hand if i'll need 2 or 20 slices
