Very cool! :D

I'm always amazed at solutions people with MUCH BETTER math skills than myself can come up with.

Thanks for an interesting read!

i'm glad you liked it
just to be sure, I didn't invent anything new here, I just reinvented the wheel invented by people smarter than both of us :)

So it's like the time I wrote a Sudoku solver in Excel while I was home with the flu? :D

Is this a "for profit" exercise or just an activity born of pandemic-induced boredom?

hobby / pastime!
So it's like the time I wrote a Sudoku solver in Excel while I was home with the flu
so you are one of us, an AI guy :)
sudoku is a constraint satisfaction problem, combined with tree search, right? It is amazing how quickly a computer will solve the hardest sudoku puzzle.

my very far objective is somehow to simulate human-like intelligence, not just specialized algorithms, but one must start somewhere :)

I'm close at putting the final nail to humanity's coffin, as I think I solved Rubik's cube too :)
but I won't write a separate blog, it is the same idea with "end game" pattern databases

next project, a small terminator robot that will hunt down users that ask too many new features :P
