Turn Off All Visual Filters With One Click
I use dual panes with multiple tabs open in each, and make use of the visual filter toolbar in these panes on a regular basis.
I'm trying to train myself to be aware of the FILTER icon being present or not in the info bar, but things can still be hectic and I miss that sometimes. So I wonder if there's a way to turn off all visual filters applied to every open pane, either by macro or through a VBA script called by a user command?

you could do it with a macro, enumerate all tabs, select them one by one and send VIEW > SHOW ALL command in a loop. The manual has a sample macro that works with tabs ( remove duplicate tabs )

Thanks for the reminder!
Advanced Options isn't for the faint of heart, but finding that gem of a setting is worth all the mental anguish!

Agreed on the background change - I use it for all my filters now, and it makes life a LOT easier.
E.g. I have one for when I peek inside of .ZIP files (natively, without using 7-ZIP or another archive program) - it tuns the background reddish-maroon. And if I use the quickfilter up top to filter by characters, it turns the background orange.
Such a blessing when I figured out that feature that Nikos incorporated into X²

There is a color in this setting, but I see no change in the panel background when I use the "filter" bar.lnbrantley wrote: ↑2021 Apr 22, 13:44To make it easier to be aware of a filtered pane, you could change the color for "Filtered panel background" in Advanced Options.
Re: Turn Off All Visual Filters With One Click
such colors only show when the pane is active
Re: Turn Off All Visual Filters With One Click
it's the case, the pane is active, I enter some letters in the "filter" bar, files and folders are filtered, but the background color don't change.
Re: Turn Off All Visual Filters With One Click
that's a little bug then. If you click on the other view and back again, it will show the filter background
Re: Turn Off All Visual Filters With One Click
I click on the window of another software, back to Xplorer, but no change.
I click on another tab of the same panel, back to the first tab : no change.
I click in the tree on another folder, back to the filterer folder : it is no more filtered, so no color change.
I try with the default layout, it works. What can be the setting in my layout which prevents to function?

Re: Turn Off All Visual Filters With One Click
actually I just tried it myself and there is no bug!
one way this filter color may not show is if you have color tagged files in a folder

EDIT: It is because in "advanced options" I didn't have selected my personnal layout. It works
