Alt-C

Post by rnmerchant »

Alt-C copies a filename/path to the clipboard.

Can this command be added to the toolbar as an icon? I see only a limited number of pre-set commands that can be added to the toolbar (ok, quite a large limited number) but not how to add ones not on this list.

you can either add it to the right click context menu (under XPLORER2) or you can use this trick via a macro

Wow! Thank you for this!

Apologies if these commands are listed somewhere, which should be known to someone who has been using xplorer2 for decades, but is there a list of these commands* somewhere?

* numbers

Edit. Eh, I found it, Help/Command finder :oops:

Customize/Keyboard use... shows command codes for commands that have keyboard shortcuts. Another way to see the command codes for menu items is to use Resource Hacker to view the x2 main menu. I can post the the text of the main menu resource file for reference if Nikos is ok with that.

You should also be able to do
command "copy names"

but I had several command codes handy because I had used them with Snakebyte's MenuHack before Nikos added macros to x2.
