I've just changed PCs and re-installed Xplorer2. I've always run with three or four tabs showing in each pane, but I can't do that now. It's driving me nuts trying to work out whether I've missed an option, or something has changed?
The lower pane works as expected, and currently has four tabs. In the upper pane, I can see all the open locations via the little blue screen icon at top right in the pane's bar, but they show as a list that appears when I press that button. I can't figure out how to switch the top pane to a tabbed view. Even the basic help page shows only a single visible location in the top pane as well. Moving tabs from bottom to top adds them to the list - it doesn't result in a second or subsequent tab.
But it was working fine till my old PC died, and I had kept updating my Lite installation over the years. Was I using an old setting that was preserved when things changed, or have I missed a switch somewhere?

Re: Showing multiple tabs in the top pane
you create tabs by FILE > NEW TAB menu command or the equivalent toolbar and keyboard shortcuts

Re: Showing multiple tabs in the top pane
Thanks. But that wasn't what I was seeing.
I've solved it now. I had not turned on the option for "tabs on top" (which I must have done previously). So, I was looking at the bottom tabs on the upper pane as belonging to the lower pane. Now that I've actually tried to use it, rather than just get it set up, I've spotted of course that the tabs didn't match.
Sorry for any confusion!
