Thanks Nikos. Everything I wanted to know about ADS's but was afraid to ask! I was thinking that extracting removed the stream. BTW, NirSoft has a nice little utility, AlternateStreamView that works on groups of files.

ok I can see this problem with PNG files, it will be fixed

now that i'm trying to fix it, it works properly!? must be the phases of the moon
