Re: beta version 450.14
Is there a technical reason for that? In the macOS Finder (which I happen to have here), all panes work.

Re: beta version 450.14
no real technical problem, just protecting all the views to the right that will be junked if you switch folder by accident. Remember the autopop mode works with the keyboard too!
do you prefer to have the miller attribute remembered when you restart xplorer2? The actual multiple panes won't be restored, but at least you can have the miller mode active from the start, without having to tick the toolbar button.

I must say I'm pleasantly surprised... I didn't realize how many crypto-miller-fans there were when I started coding for the feature, but the fans are popping up from everywhere!

Re: beta version 450.14
I'm reading a lot about not using Internet Explorer as your default browser. I have the opposite problem, I share this computer with someone and they use IE, but not xplorer2 so I would like to set x2 to open stuff in Firefox the browser I use. I confess I'm not trying out the Beta, but I've been wondering this reading about the new version.

It's actually Microsoft Edge. Sorry I may have misread what was going on. I thought X2 occasionally used the default browser to open some of it's help files. I think think that might have been a problem with the PDF reader which I actually set right.

Re: beta version 450.14
there is a setting (in the settings editor, global section, more options) that tells x2 to use the default browser rather than IE
there was a thread about this awhile ago because some browsers did not like the link that x2 sends
