you're in the wrong hive!
you need HKCU (current user)
see registry.txt for more info

also you're going to need the agent ransack command parameter to set the the passed in field (%s) as the default "look in" field, namely -d.

so..

" C:\program files\agent_ransack\agentransack.exe -d %s "

the correct use of quotes would be:

"C:\program files\agent_ransack\agentransack.exe" -d "%s"

File Finder - Agent Ransack

Post by rgd2 »

Hey Guys:
I have configured explorer2 to use AgentRansack as the file finder, which works just fine, but has anyone figured out a quick way to get back to explorer2 and the folder pane where the found file is located?

Thanks

PS. As a convert from 2XExplorer, I am really impressed. Great job, Nikos

the easiest would be to drag the file from agentr~ and drop it on x2's addressbar

google is going to put everyone out of business... :)
i like the idea but like all indexing search thingies it won't find small words, it's only for english etc

plus i don't find the format of results convenient
and it can't use other criteria as size/dates/comments
so xplorer2 is safe for a while!

just found this: peek at the readme.
http://bb4win.sourceforge.net/bladestaylor/pdfind/

EDIT: you can find pd5free here.
P.S. Yes, it's a dual pane file manager, but it's not EVEN as cool as xplorer2, in fact I found it downright annoying.
