yes, just delete the manifest or rename it if you want to be able to get back to xp style. However without the manifest many things will not work, eg the custom grouping feature. Why don't you just pick the "classic theme" from windows properties?

LOL... okay, that did it.  I just bought a new laptop and am in the process of moving everything from the old to the new.  I had not changed the Windows Desktop Themes from XP to Classic yet, and for some reason I thought the xplorer2 'look and feel' was controlled by xplorer2 itself.  I was looking in the xplorer2 options for some way to change the 'look and feel' to what I was used to on my old computer.  Changing the Windows desktop properties Theme from xp to classic though was exactly what I needed.  Thanks!  -Ron
