Re: Win7x64 RC1 (Build 7100) with Xplorer² v1.7.2.4 x64 Unic

Nikos,
Any updates on the Win7 issues I've been having?  I've recapped the list here with summaries (and fixed the image links).  #5 is new.
  • 1.  Empty Drive Bar: Fixed for me.
    2.  Incorrect Library Names: Seems fixed as of Win7 RC1.  It does show the funny names in the titleBar, but that's always been the case with X² (such as showing CLSIDs).
    3.  Compatibility Option - Larger Fonts (150%):
3a.  MenuBar Gets Drunk:  See ScreenShot.  This seemed to occur at the same time that the file list changed font size (added as #3b).
3b.  List's Font Size Changes on New Tab:  See ScreenShot.  The list's font is normal (i.e. not enlarged), but then when I open a new tab (such as via Ctrl + Ins), the new tab has a larger font size (correctly enlarged via Windows option).    Also, none of the menus/tabs/etc have the larger font size (but most apps don't seem to work well with Windows Compatibility options enabled).
    4.  Can't 'Open' Control Panel Applets: I can navigate to the Control Panel in X², but when you 'open' an item, it actually opens like an empty folder.  I can rightClick and select the default action, Open, and the applet opens.  It does sound more like a Win7 issue than a X² issue though.
    5.  'Desktop Folder' vs 'Desktop Shell Object': See ScreenShot.  If I browse to "C:\Users\<UserName>\Desktop" then I will see the list of shell objects ('Computer', 'Control Panel', 'Homegroup', etc), but if I manually type in the address I will get a blank folder (my Desktop folder is empty - if I put stuff in there it obviously always shows up).  I like having this list of 'shell objects' as one of my start-up tabs so I notice this problem daily.

the only one of the above i can reproduce is the control panel, which indeed fails, but as all these items advertise themselves as folders, what is  xplorer2 to do? The workaround is to use the context menu to open them

You can't reproduce the funny font sizes?  Has anybody else observed this or am I riding solo on this funkiness?

I can consistently get it - while having the compatibility font size increased to 150% (and re-logging), simply creating a new tab with Ctrl+Ins creates a new tab with a different font than the other panes.  I haven't precisely figured out when the menu font changes yet though, but you can see that it does happen from the screenshots posted earlier.
