Icon on toolbar won't stay on

I have inserted the Refresh icon on my toolbar a few times. Each time, closing and re-opening X2 shows the program without that Refresh icon.

What do I have to do, to get it to stay?

On the menu click on Actions/Save settings now.

Thanks. Man I'm not sure why the customize dialog doesn't have an Apply and an OK button. Going into another menu like that isn't the most intuitive or common thing to do...

The automatic way is to enable save program state on exit in Tools/Options/General (tab).
