I have disabled the option that auto-selects the Filter text box when typing in an xplorer2 window. Now when typing, xplorer2 dynamically auto-selects the first matching filename as I type it. However when I press spacebar, the selection is lost. This can be reproduced by making new files called "File 1", "File 2", "File 3". Then type F-I-L-E-[space]-3, instead of selecting "File 3", as soon as you press the spacebar the files are deselected. Is there some way to revert back to the Windows method that includes spaces?

spacebar in xplorer2 is a reserved accelerator key. If you want to release it then just use CUSTOMIZE > KEYBOARD menu command to cancel it as an accelerator. Look for command 32823
