New file a doc or docx?

Post by prr »

I have upgraded to the newest (July 2014) version of xplorer2 lite, and I would like to have the option to create a new doc or docx file in the context menu. All I see is a way to create a txt file. Can this be modified in any way in the free version?

you can access such items from the background folder menu, there's a submenu EXPLORER > NEW

I have a similar question. How to right click and get a context menu with options of what new file type I wish.
similar to how windows explorer works now. If this has been answered by the above comments it's not clear where this gets done.
thanks

love explorer2,
best file manager for win out there.

right click "nowhere" (on some clear space) then from the menu select EXPLORER and in there you will find a NEW menu for other types. If you are using the ribbon toolbar there is a NEW ITEM button on the home tab
