the inclusion of this was a great idea! i am already using dirkey for a long time, but was dissapointed i couldnt use it in xplorer2

anyway, is anyone using this??
unfortunately it seems to do nothing for me.
i installed dirkey 2.0, plugin files, and xplorer2 alpha .49 (latest versions of all)

when i try to add or goto bookmarks in xplorer2, nothing happens at all...

Are you using the proper plugin version for xplorer²? There are two versions and putting both of them in the plugins folder will allow dirkey2 to select the proper plugin for the operating system.

It works well for me.

yep, i put everything from the plugin zip into the plugins folder of dirkey...
and the plugin shows up in the plugin list of dirkey, but does nothing in xplorer2

Can you please tell me which version (and language) of Windows and xplorer2 you are using?

I've only tested the plug-in on Windows ME (with Dirkey) and Windows XP (with Dirkey NTXP) (both US English) myself, it may be possible that it is not (yet) compatible with other versions. Also make sure that you have at least xplorer2 version .48

Weird. That combination should work.

Does the Bookmarks dialog show up when using the local hotkey or when right clicking the xplorer2 windows close button?

nope :(
nothing happens at all.

the old (single) bookmark function in xplorer2 is still having effect, even though it should be replaced by the dirkey one now, so maybe there is some conflict there ... (?)

im a bit stumped what it could be actually, ive tried closing and reopening both xplorer2 and dirkey, but no effect.

You're not running Dirkey in safe-mode right? (that is: you haven't specified the /safe command-line argument?) I doubt that this is the case, but if it is then it would explain why it doesn't work (in safe mode plug-ins are de-activated).

Another thing to check... does Dirkey work fine in MS Office dialogs (if you have MS Office installed that is)?

i just tried to use dirkey in a open file dialog in ms word and it works fine....

Are you using the ascii or the unicode version of the dirkey plugin?

Cause I had the same problem under XP using the ascii version, until I installed the unicode plugin, which magically worked... :)

dirkey ?

I dont know if you need it, but dirkey did not work for me without it...

well it appears to be the unicode version,
because in dirkey2 under plugins, it is listed as type: "wu"

Oh well. It was worth checking, just in case...
