Can't display 'year' in columns in windows 7

Hello. I recently switched from a Windows XP to a Windows 7 computer. xplorer2 lite no longer displays the year in the modified, accessed or created columns, only the date, month and time are shown. I've installed several versions, including the version I was using in XP, but none display the year. How can I show the year? I see their is a year column, but it always displays blank.

I found a fix for this! In Windows 7, the Short Date display, must be set to show the year, so the year can be used in other programs. To do this, modify the Short Date format, by going to the Start button, Control Panel, Region and Language, and on the Format tab, change the Short Date to include the year.
