I am new to the world of Android after buying a tablet in January and I just got an update notice for the operating system that worries me. Basically it says that when I upgrade to Android 6 Marshmallow it "the update will delete all user data …" and it looks to me like it wipes my entire drive clean, like a computer clean reinstall. Is this just a precaution or do I really have to download everything again? Will it wipe out all the programs that came preinstalled?
I wouldn't mind hearing how I can back it up, hopefully for free.
My question is a little confusing because I am confused.

i think you need to google for an android forum. I spent the other day hours trying to make the android context menu appear until i heard that you just need to press the LEFT mouse button for longer!?
