Also if you are using Chrome or Firefox as your browser, can you confirm that xplorer2 context help works now? (e.g. press F1 key in any dialog and you should be directed to the correct page in the help file)

finally, if you use dropbox for cloud storage, double check I didn't break anything lately

When I hit F1 I get Internet Explorer 11 as a web browser showing me the help page even though Firefox is the default browser on my system. The dialog opened at a good page for Mass Rename. Nothing at all happened with F1 in Customize Keyboard. Customize organize macros got to a user customization page, as did organize user commands. Nothing at all happened with F1 in Find Files or Folders. F1 in Edit >- Move To or -> Copy To seems to cause a history list of destinations to update (no help forthcoming). Mark -> Matching a Rule nothing happens. Stopped trying things out then; not quite sure what should be happening. (I still use the PDF produced all those years ago.)

Stopped working, no x² crash information.

I had been using column mode.
Closed x².
Started x².
Selected column mode, I don't think it did select because I couldn't expand the column.
The "stopped working" window then opened.

All actions were with the mouse.

the dialogs that support help have a ? question mark in their titlebar. But you've discovered some inconsistencies... I'll look into it

you can make xplorer2 use your default browser using ADVANCED OPTIONS, tick the option not to use IE (use default browser)
does it work for any dialogs? If you see the help question mark, click on it then click on any control box in the dialog

One day I gotta take a couple of hours and really read that advanced option dialog. Firefox pops up nicely with the use-default-browser set. I am getting to good help pages on many dialogs with F1, but not customize keyboard and not the move-to copy-to. On the Move-to the question-mark method does get there.

The new quick-peek text-mode setting works nicely. Can't imagine having to produce reliable software for users around the world. Go to it, Nikos, and thanks.

Only happened the once. Needles to say, I couldn't reproduce it again.

The only thought is that there was a background task that x² was performing and, because I started x² and immediately selected column mode, there was a conflict.

I've got other things to do to-day, but I'll try and reproduce it when I get time.

I'm having a problem with column mode in 450.14: when opening a folder which contains subfolders in column node, and with Tools > Options > Advanced > Automatically resize Name column in detailed view, enabled, the name column disappears for the second and subsequent columns.

I can't reproduce this, are you sure you're running x.14? The older beta (.13) had a problem that could account for this bug. Double check the version using HELP > ABOUT menu command

Yes, this is working on chrome-based browsers now. A most welcome fix!

I can confirm this. x2 4.5.0.14 on Win 10 2004.

ok I can see it too now. If you set a max column width for list mode (TOOLS > OPTIONS > Window page) eg to 220 pixels, the problem will go away. I will fix it

First impression of the Miller columns:
I wish there was an option to enable single-click activation only for folders when in Column Mode. On other systems which have the Miller columns, it works like this:

- Single-click on a folder: The folder is opened right from the clicked folder.
- Double-click on a folder: Makes no sense (but does the same thing).

- Single-click on a file: Selects the file.
- Double-click on a file: Opens the file.

Right now, xplorer2 lets me choose whether I want to double-click folders to open them (which is pointless for columns) or I want to single-click everything (which means that clicking a batch file will execute it). Could we have a difference between them, please?

see the discussion further up, you can tick the "autopop" mode in advanced settings to activate folders easier (one click)

That does not work for me - clicking the folders does nothing. Oh, and the Column Mode was enabled - and it was disabled after the next restart again.

the "single click" mode works only for the last 2 panes
