can the search bar and filter bar height size be configured.
make smaller or larger, depending on needs.

do you have the latest version 5.2? It usually gets it right automatically, depending on your font. Also right click on the addressbar go ICON for icon size

icon size in address bar is set to small; but the search bar size doesn't match for its size.
Can an option be added to make it custom; for example an option in advanced setting to set bar size height
