DAP/MP3 player only visible in This PC view with X2.

Windows 10 Pro, X2; and a KANN Digital Audio player (android OS); USB C MTP enabled,
Why doesn't the DAP appear as a normal drive in X2 ?.
When I plug the DAP into my PC, X2 recognises it but it doesn't show on any drive bar, I have to click on This PC and then its listed as "KANN Player", navigating files is normal and all works ok.
With Win Explorer, If I plug the DAP into the PC, then Win explorer auto opens the DAP at the Internal memory of the DAP which is OK, which is why I was scratching my head wondering why X2 didn't see it.
I not overly fussed about this now that I understand its quirkiness but it did cause me a bit of worry when I didn't see the DAP listed as a drive, I then started clicking everything in sight and it was after opening MY PC that I saw it listed.
