Recent file list / pane?

I often need quick access to recently created or modified files.
Windows Explorer introduced a 'Recent' section listing recently modified files, under the 'Home' path. I am beginning to use this feature a lot, but I don't know how to combine it with using xplorer2.
Is there a way to either
a) display the list of Recent files from Windows Explorer in xplorer2
b) create a similar list of Recent files? Also perhaps a list of folders containing the recently created files (useful if many files have been created).
I would love to have a Pane that visualized this list.
Also, automatic completion of filenames / paths if typing a prefix of a recently created file.
