Dark "flash" when pressing Delete (5.4.0.x)...

I am experiencing a dark "flash" whenever I press Delete to erase a file. It is as though a semi-transparent rectangle is being drawn over the entire client-space then immediately removed.

This behaviour occurs in versions 5.4.0.1 & 5.4.0.2 (I don't have 5.4.0.0) - but not 5.3.0.2 (or earlier).

Is anyone else experiencing this - or is it unique to my machine/setup?

this must be from the new dialog shading option, only in quick deletes (you must have turned off confirmations) there's no time to see the delete window, just the flash. You can turn off this behavior from TOOLS > ADVANCED OPTIONS menu, search for SHADING to find the option to disable
