Recycle Bin

Post by mragtronx8 »

v5.4.0.2
when there are items in recycle bin, and i empty them in xplorer2.
xplorer2 is not refreshing. items still show.

u have to REFRESH or Press Recycle Bin again, for xplorer2 to show recycle bin folder EMPTY.

is it a bug or feature in xplorer2?

thx

sorry this is a result of something else I did to make recycle bin faster, so you need to manually refresh it :(

Hello,
Will this issue be solved in the next update "5.5"?

out of words really :!: :(
updates are to improve software, not send them backwards.
"i mean u made such a professional/great software, i don't think that u cannot improve it."

u r the dev of the software, so i guess it is ur call.

as there are only 24 hours in a day, I must decide what's important to fix and concentrate my efforts
I don't think anybody's use of file management is affected severely by pressing CTRL+R for the recycle bin once every blue moon, no?

"Blue moons" occur too often for me!!

I do recycle bin management about once a week and usually delete large numbers of files, in smallish blocks. Repeatedly having to refresh is a bit of a PITA.

Any chance of a New Year resolution to restore auto-refresh on the recycle bin?

without this "fix" getting into the recycle bin was much more of a PITA, took ages to read contents

I take it that's a "NO".

O.K. Second request. Would it possible to remember the position in the list, either before or after the deleted files, rather than going to the top of the list?

I know I can, before I do a refresh, select the file before or after the files I have deleted, but that requires me to remember to do it. There isn't enough memory left in my brain to always do that!!

the workaround there would be to select a nearby file you did NOT delete before you hit refresh, that will be remembered

Read my post again. That's what I do!!
But, if I forget and I'm returned to the top of the list, the air is blue!!

I thought about a Macro, but sometimes I want to select the file before the deleted section and sometimes it's the file after. I don't see how a Macro can decide which. I think it's easier to teach my brain to remember!
