Nikos, who is Balmer ? Don't you think it is good to have an open mind, that sometimes another program might do something better than yours and you can learn from it? I think these programs that display html in the preview pane in browser quality use a viewer called Quickview from Stellent Technology. Powerdesk certainly does.A version of this program is on the win98 CD for example. I am not knocking x2, overall it's best for my needs...

as i have explained my expertise in graphics is nil
how am i expected to provide what you are after?

on the positive side the christmas version of x2 will most probably feature an activeX viewer and as such will preview html pages straight in IE

Nikos OK I am beginning to understand you have no expertise in graphics so you are not so interested in colour display etc. Maybe when x2 takes over the market you can afford to employ a graphics specialist :) meantime indeed if you mean that in a few months x2 can perhaps use an instance of IE to display html preview inside the program (preferably in the same view panel like some other apps I mentioned) ( ???)... I for one will be very happy. When the time comes please keep us posted on how it will work. Thank you.

there are 2 ways people can stay updated:
buy a licence or sign up to the mailing list using any of the little forms scattered in the x2 website

Will this be an IE-only party, or can us FireFox/Opera/whatever users get in on the fun too?

Not sure about Opera, but AFAIK Firefox is embeddable standards compliant.
