Disable tips?

Running 1.0.0.0 LITE
How do I disable "Tip of the Day"?
I tried unchecking the "Show me tips every day" box but the tips still keep appearing every time I open xplorer2, which is pretty annoying. Is there any way to stop it?

Perhaps you do not have checked the option:
Tools | Options... /General\ <>Save program state on exit

If you do not want that feature, you should be able to get x2 to 'remember' not showing the tips by clicking:
Actions | Save settings now
... after unchecking "Show me tips every day"
