scrap container status display

The first time a scrap container is created (Ctrl-S) the status bar message in the main window is

...item(s) added in scrap container #

WITHOUT any container number.

Further adding to the scrap container display the scrap container number.

Should it display the number when it first creates a scrap container or does it not know what number to use until it's adding to an already created scrap?

at that point in the scrap's lifecycle, the window number is yet unassigned
i guess there is no ambiguity since either this is the first scrap being created or it is a new one
