FTP got stuck in a loop?

Post by johnsonlam »

Hello,

I got stuck in FTP mode when I put wrong password in the Bookmarks folder.

X2 keep asking me for password, I type the correct password but it call out IE and keep displaying the FTP dialog, no matter I change the address bar or click the "Drive" button won't help. Finally I got out by clicking the tree pane.

Here's the screen capture before I escape from the loop:

Do you normally access that ftp site using IE, or with a proper ftp engine?

I ask because x2 simply provides an interface to the IE ftp capabilities, which are somewhat limited.

Generally speaking, if you cannot successfully access your ftp site with IE, then you will have the same problem using x2 for ftp
{use search to find other threads discussing ftp}

However, for those locations where it does work, I have found x2 to be more convenient that opening a separate app for ftp :)

I apologize if this information is not much help to solve your problem;
but if IE won't work for ftp, neither will x2.
