blue letters in path par....

Post by cyraxote »

Hi all. I have x2 installed on 2 PCs at the moment (I'm copying files from one PC to another over a crossover cable, and x2 is proving quite useful), and I note that on the new PC, the path bar letters (where the path appears, and where you can click on a particular folder name) are all black. On the old PC, the folder name changes to dark blue when I hover over it with the pointer.

I've hunted around to see if the settings are different, but to no avail. Am I crazy, or is there a way to enable this behavior on the new PC?

colors vary from monitor to monitor
there's a registry key you can tweak for changing the hilite color e.g. to red rgbFolderLinkcol
see registry.txt for more info

Ok, I changed that in the registry, but it had no effect whatsoever. I got the number from a web RGB color picker, but it gave me only 6 chars. Do I need 8 chars?

Thanks.

did you quit x2 first? see registry.txt
the hex values should be entered in reverse order B-G-R
so red would be FF0000

That worked, but it made the letters blue. :)
