how can I show "system" files?

Post by LuckMan212 »

hi I see the option to show "hidden" files in x2 but it does not show "system" files (ntldr, io.sys, etc)

I would like to view these as well.
also can hidden folders/files appear in a different shade or somehow indicate that they are hidden?

or maybe I just am not seeing the correct option?
thanks

you must have the "super hidden" option on; see your folder options from control panel

the only way you can tell a file is "system" is to enable the attributes column and check for the HS attributes; there's no icon ghosting

so there is no choice to hide these icons in explorer.exe but show them in x2? I use x2 to get "under the hood" of explorer, I do not wish to see these icons in explorer but when I use x2 I want to see everything.

not possible?

unfortunately not
x2 shares explorer's fate in many departments, including super-hidden files
