This is really the killer feature for me, I would love to see this.  Perhaps it could be done by placing a "Scrap panes" namespace under the desktop, and each of the scrap panes as a folder under that?

scrap windows missed the tabs this time round
the next update i'll pay some more attention to them

This is probably old news covered with spider webs for most of you, but I'm happy I finally figured it out...  Using the /P and /S (separate registry entry) switches I am able to use two shortcuts to open two different instances of x2.  All settings are kept separate, and the x2 windows open in separate places on the Windows desktop, but window sizes and positions for each separate x2 instance are remembered.

I have been using 2xExplorer when I needed the two extra panes.  Now it looks like I can uninstall the old and keep just x2.  I'm getting closer and closer to just not using Windows Explorer anymore...  When the option for drag and drop robust copy is added it just might do it.

Well I gave in a paid anyway, but I still hope to see this feature sometime  :)
