Instead why not have an option to control how Ctrl+N behaves?
By default it's new window and if set then it's new tab.
Makes sense since the people who want multiple tabs rarely want new windows; but if they do they can use the menu.

Ah yes, and then play with its combinations with ALT and SHFT too. Everything will fit in nicely!

if you check the main website, the beta has gone public
version 1.0.0.95 is no longer in debug mode and fixed many of the problems you reported
