I don't know whether it's just me or not. For one reason or another (source control makes my files read-only), I always found myself having to toggle the read-only attribute on files.
Currently I would do:
Select the file, hit F12 to display the file properties, then select/de-select the "Read-Only" attribute checkbox.
How about adding a one click "read-only" toggle hotkey to simplify the procedure? Ctrl-F12 or something? :turn:

i guess a command could be useful
you can also execute a quick command from the address bar like:
$ attrib -R *
in x2 not only will these commands be available from the history but you will be able to name your favourites and assign them to shortcut keys, so in a sense there's no need for a new command for this task after all!
