Install a free utility called power menu. See user manual for details.

I wonder why.

PowerPro is very light. In fact, once installed, it is invisible. Its presence is known only when you see additional menu options. So there is no downside.

Probably you are thinking of the PowerPro (earlier known as "Stiletto")?
Yes, that's a heavy-weight application, and somewhat difficult to use. It has tons of features, though.

The advantage of PowerMenu (or Tray It) is that it extends these facilities for ALL windows applications you run on your PC; not just x2.

I've been satisfied with Powermenu for many years.

Lately I switched to another program which still is actively developed and IMHO superior to Powermenu.  If you want to have a look at it:

xplorer2 by design has possibly many windows open at the same time, so it doesn't offer an option to "minimize to tray"

your only chance is to use one of the external options mentioned above
