2xExplorer is good, but still there's one problem when sorting
directories having RAR and ZIP archives by name - when I do that (sort files by name) I get folders and archive files
mixed
up. I want folders to be on the top of directory, just like in Windows
Explorer or Total Commander. I don't want archives to be treated as directories. How can I achieve that and is it
possible at
all?

i take it that you're using XP. Over there, zips are folders so that's why they get bunched up with the rest of the real folders. If you want to turn this feature off, please follow the instructions in FAQ #25. Still, for version Z1 onwards, zipfolders are the recommended path for optimized use of 2xExplorer
