I decided to enable the integration option when I installed this beta (open folders in x2) and I had some questions:
What is the effect of the /I option if there is no settings.reg file specified and no settings.reg file exists in the same folder as the x2 executable?
Why does the x2solo window appear behind/below the window of the program that you are opening the folder from? The Windows Explorer windows appears in front.

Wepver is that the 32 or 64 bit version you are running?
FrizzleFry the only mirror with the manual is this, i'm working for the others
i see the x2solo window upfront on my XP/32 are you using bSingleWindow registry tweak?

That's a windows system theme controller file which older systems may not have. It is available for download from multiple sources.
For backward compatibility the release version of x2 may need to include an 'open' version if not present on the host system ... or design out any call for it on those older systems that do not have 'themes'.

One major problem: If I have some tabs targeted at shared folders on my LAN, when I restart x2, it shows desktops on all tabs. Worse, I do not know which were the folders, as it does not retain the address for each tab.
Unless I missed a registry change that allows x2 to try for xxxx ms before skipping the tab.

No I am facing that problem with the GUI.
BTW v19 fails to install.
I get the following error:
---------------------------
xplorer² professional Setup
---------------------------
Error opening file for writing:
C:\Utilities\xplorer2\editor2_UC.exe
Click Abort to stop the installation,
Retry to try again, or
Ignore to skip this file.

Looks like someone just forgot to make uxtheme.dll a delay-load library.fgagnon wrote:For backward compatibility the release version of x2 may need to include an 'open' version if not present on the host system ... or design out any call for it on those older systems that do not have 'themes'.
I'm using Xplorer2 - the only file manager that does not suck. Actually, it rocks!
people still using win98? and i thought I was the laggard
anyway now i get it, i switched to VS 2003 compilers and i guess they dropped windows 98, so here it is again, it should work:
