Actions | Folder settings | Save
for each folder.  It's not a default, nor is it generally recommended.

Are you saying there is no way for the program to keep the view settings I set for each folder automatically?

For example one folder I have I might like to view it alphabetically and another by most recent date.

There is no way for xplorer2 to do this automatically?

x2 remembers and automatically applies your latest view settings when visiting folders for which you have not specified a particular view preference.
In folders for which you have explicitly saved a view preference, x2 applies the saved preference.
In other words, unless otherwise specified, x2 uses what it interprets as your most recent general preference, but honors specific folder settings where they exist.

Ahh damn that is too bad.  I was really looking for some software that remembers my folder preferences without me having to manually save them for every folder I hop into.

Don't suppose you know of another software program that does this?

thanks for the reply

You're mad :P

I love how X² disregards everything except the last instance that was open.

Used to get random rogue columns in detail view with Explorer, especially on removable media - used to drive me nuts!
