xplorer²... can add comments to all* file types

I cannot add a comment to a .pdf file.
File name is 'ezine issue 3-1.pdf' but I have added a comment to ''ezine issue 3-1.doc' in the same folder. (Folder name commented OK).
Any explanation?

are you using the latest version 2.0? I just tried setting a comment on a PDF and it works. It should work in all files

I am using Version: 2.0.0.3 [Ansi] LITE 10/11/2011 .

If I highlight the .pdf file row and key Alt-z I get the dialog box. When I key in a comment and click on OK the dialog disappears but the comment field remains blank.
Help!
(I use PowerDesk but it won't allow commenting of folders)

perhaps there's a problem that lite version is not unicode... try the professional version and see if it is better (free for 21 days)

Nikos, For info:
I could not add a comment because the file was Read Only.

Alt-z did not work in Pro or Lite either unless I removed the R attribute from the file.
Maybe a warning patch is called for....
