Good tips.
While many of us are familiar with the %WINDIR% environment variable not many know about %X2DIR%.

Just asking. If you have xplorer2 legally, can you then install the portable version as well or must that bought seperatly? I know that is somewhere on the website, but it is easier here.

Good tip btw. Are there more x2 variables?
Waching the video was learning me more tricks or ideas how to use things.

the portable version won't run if placed on a hard disk, if that's what you are asking, see www.zabkat.com/x2port.htm

in the near future there will be a new kind of xplorer2 'super' version that will be portable and installable

Nikos, I'm about ready to buy another portable license (to catch me up from 1.8.0.11). If your "super" version release is imminent I would wait. Should I wait?

You can also use this, if you have a set of icons on your USB-stick, to make references to these files and to create customized icons for your bookmarks/user commands/etc.
