Spit, sputter, quivering lip, fire in the eyes, WTF? - and you call me the imitator!  I think I just had a fit.

<Seriously indignant smirk> :D

Shouldn't you be off in London giving a lecture on your greatest failure?  Hmm?  Get off my turf, you big bully.

well I told you that I had the idea before you went down your hack path but that didn't seem to stop you... I didn't see any solution that was as simple as mine so I believe that the article is relevant.... Occam would agree!

Nikos, if we use this option, it should make one VBS file for each search engine?

What about search for file names WITH and WITHOUT extensions?

Na na, na na na. (As we used to say on the playground at recess.)

And yours doesn't have superfluous icons.  Where are your superfluous icons?  Every good hack needs a superfluous icon.  Besides, isn't using "Send to" a little old-skool in this day and age?

Not to mention that there are much more interesting things you could blog about, like... umm... world peace or something useless like that...

yes but adding search engines and/or modifying the filename so that the extension is used is very easy to add if you follow the comments in the VBS file

It would need a little more modification if one wanted to use ZoNi's more "complex" addresses, but that's easily done as well.

Maybe things like "virus research" sites would be a better choice anyway. Searching for a file you already have is weird.

Sometimes you want to know what a file 'does', so you'd look it up & find out what sites or others have to say about it
