Re: v5 released
Thank you. Great news. I cannot wait to install it in my day-to-day work routine.
One question about the license. I bought the Ultimate version with lifetime cover on 4 May 2019. The email that came with that noted that it was a lifetime cover key. The email I just got with the V5 upgrade said it will only unlock the latest version of Ultimate (probably meaning it will not unlock the other levels of V5). Is it a lifetime cover key?

Re: v5 released
you are welcome. Just beware for the odd small glitch that may have escaped the beta testing phase. I'm sure there are a few gremlins left!
once you go lifetime, it stays lifetime, so no more paying for you

Re: v5 released
Thanks, Nikos - I went ahead and used the key upgrade feature and my new key for Ult Lifetime is on the way.
Looking forward to figuring out a few more things with a clean install.

Re: v5 released
What do I have to do to get X2 to say "Computer says no!"? If I were doing something and drinking soda and this message popped up, I imagine I'd be cleaning liquid off of my screen and out of my keyboard. It is in the same ballpark as "The CPU cannot make any sense of the last input", but with that one I have long experience.

Be careful - nikos is much more accommodating than we give him credit for - you might get a (rather nasty) surprise waiting for you (and a chance at semi-ruining your peripherals at that).

Re: v5 released
it pops in a couple of occasions, e.g. if you spreadsheet-change a date (in place) and the date is invalid

Re: v5 released
Once again, an absolute win! With the features and other improvements...
- Setting my own custom icon! And by that I mean the boring brown one from a previous version.
- Quick-previewing graphics independently from Windows! Custom keystroke to switch between Draft and Native mode.
- Peek via mouse both-click while holding, and/or via custom keystroke.
- Autosave folder customizations! No more awkward custom keystroke for "Actions -> Folder Settings -> Save" every time after changing a column.
The videos were great at showing how to turn on the new features.
Next post will mention two unexpected behaviors / improvement wishes.

Congratulation for the new version Nikos, almost 8 years since I started using x2 daily.
I'm not even using half of the many options/tools it has, but it has never failed.
Thank you!

Congrats to v5.
It's a long way from the 2xplorer days and x2 is still my daily workhorse. Thanks.
