I understand that the xplorer2 console is supposed to open on the currently active folder and follow xplorer2 through the file heirarchy however, mine does not do that. It always opens on xplorer2's home directory (program files/zabakat/xplorer2) and never changes its directory unless I issue a cd command. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
I am on Windows XP, SP2 and have set up xplorer2 as the default for file management (instead of explorer.exe).

Any executable gets unexpected starting directory
It isn't just the DOS console that uses the xplorer² installation directory as the current directory if you don't lock the browsed folder, it's any program you run by double-clicking. An example of where this really isn't what you want: run a self-extracting zip file, say an hp printer driver, and select . as the directory to extract into, expecting the files to be extracted into the same directory as the self-extractor. If lock is not selected, you've just dumped the files into the xplorer² directory.
