Color coding for inactive pane?

Is it possible to enable color coding for inactive pane, also? I changed my default text color and I would like it to also take effect in the inactive pane.

the inactive pane is not color coded so as not to attract attention by design

how about adding an option to enable it for inactive pane for those who prefer otherwise?

will there be an option to set this? users can already tell which pane is inactive by a different background color.
