What do these robust delete items mean?
In the window that pops up during a robust delete, I see something that looks sort of like a button labelled "Progress" and a field lablled "Log". Can someone explain what they do or mean? Thanks very much.

On the odd chance that you unchecked the 'Files Deleted' box under Global -> Logging Control (in the x2 settings editor), the 'Log' tab will not display anything.
'Progress' is just there for people who like watching little lines march across the screen. The "misalignment" as you call it, is simply which one is highlighted at the time. Meant, I think, to be functional, not pretty.
As an aside, it would be nice if the 'Files Deleted' number also reflected the relative size of that job (as Robust Copy/Move show parenthetically after the file-count).

Thank you. I had been clicking on "Progress", and nothing happened. I had been clicking to the right of log, in what looks to be an input area for typing (with the vertical line being the text cursor), and nothing happened. Nikos had mentioned "two" dialogs and Klimatead had mentioned "the one which is highlighted", and I was trying to find anything to show me a dialog. Then by accident I clicked the word "log", and the view changed. What I called the progress "blob" earlier is actually it seems a tab in a tabstrip, and this was not visually apparent to me. I did not know what is was, calling it in my first post "something that looks sort of like a button labelled "Progress" and a field labelled "Log"". "Thank you both.

Nikos is a "tab-strip at the bottom of window" sort of fellow, so to others who are used to tabs being at the top of windows (where they belongotlaolap wrote:...is actually it seems a tab in a tabstrip, and this was not visually apparent to me.
It's not any clearer in Win7, either, by the way. Somehow even he managed to make a dialogue box appear XP-plasticky-like under Aero.
