Won't run with XP

I had to "reload" Windows XP, and now 2xExplorer won't run, however IE will. Any ideas?

You say "2xExplorer won't run", but you don't say how you are trying to start it.
Are you using a shortcut on the desktop, the Start | Run... menu, or other?
Is your 2xExplorer.exe file still present and in same folder as before?
(along with the other files as listed in <install.txt>)

I also had trouble with 2xExplorer working but I ran "compatability Mode" and set it to Widows 95.

2xExplorer now works flawlessly...

Now, can you tell me what the hint, "Enable the DOS file extension" means ?

2x is just recommending that you should enable (make visible) extensions for known file types

see FAQ#13
