Post by ZoNi011 »

I would like to see option to change skins in xplorer2 (at least, its icons - with Phoenity, maybe? )

by the way, those default icons are really small and ... sorry - ugly!

not at the moment
if you enable text labels (right-click on the toolbar), the buttons will become much larger

Nikos:
Please do NOT(!!!) implement skins. It's like asking for trouble. :)
It's fine as it is. Plain and simple.

Second that motion ... it's function, not appearance that counts.

However, I do see a benefit from improving the legibility and recognizable uniqueness of icons. It will enhance useability: (reduce confusion, speed recognition of functions, reduce errors ...)

Third that motion :) Many more useful things for Nikos to spend his time on!
"Large buttons" option, like MS explorers, would be nice however

1. weeeell... yes and no - although Total Commander is VERY powerfull, I don't use it, cause it is soooo ugly :x

2. that is EXACTLY what I thought!!! See those icons in my first post here: those icons are so easy to see and understand! Unfortunately, some icons on xplorer2 (like Back and Forward) are so small and not very nice!

but, anyway, this program is SO GREAT!!! 10x, Nikos! :!: :!: :!:

With all the function-related items that nikos has on his to-do list, this will likely not be addressed anytime soon, unless somebody steps forward to volunteer for the graphic button designer position. (hint, hint ;) )
(BTW - ripping off copyrighted material will not be permitted.)

The Phoenity icons and graphics design are licensed under a Creative Commons License ("You are free: 1. to copy, distribute, display, and perform the work; 2. to make derivative works... You must give the original author credit; You may not use this work for commercial purposes.)

So, maybe Nikos (or some "older" members) can ask Lim Chee Aun to make icons for Xplorer2 (I think that cannot be very hard, cause all those icons in xplorer2 are only one BMP picture!)

Please, see:
http://phoenity.com
http://phoenity.com/contact/

maybe I am a little boring (a little?), but I would realy like to see those great icons in this program!

Hi, Zoni. May I ask, do I know you? Your nickname sounds so familiar :-)

Yes I can, but maybe it's a better option for you to actually contact the
author of xplorer2 to include skinning support, so that my work can be
distributed to all xplorer2 users. Those users include me, because I use
xplorer2 too.

ZoNi011, take a hint and give up! The default look of xplorer2 is fine it's not suppose to look like Firefox or Thunderbird.
