First of all the bug. When renaming a folder in the left pane (directory tree), if a file is open and the renaming fails (Please make sure file is not in use), the directory will be displayed with the incorrect name. F5 doesn't refresh like regular explorer does, and indeed I cannot find any hotkey for refreshing the display. F5 should *ALWAYS* be refresh, no matter the application!
On another note, in single-pane mode (instead of dual pane) clicking into a folter should change the current directory in the directory tree pane just like Microsoft Explorer does. At least, there should be a setting for that.
Charles.

starting from the bottom ...
check Keep synchronized with folder...
for Tree on Window tab of Tools | Options... dialog
The keycombo for refresh is Ctrl+R
F5 evolved as a copy function from nikos' prior opus, 2xExplorer, to be compatible with perhaps a million users of that freeware product. As for why he did it that way ...
regarding mis-named display of foldername, either hit Esc, or click in anypane & displayed name will revert to the original.

There is another (even more compelling) reason for the F5/6 keys being reserved for copy/move.fgagnon wrote:[...]The keycombo for refresh is Ctrl+R

These were the keys for the same operations in the mother of all filemanagers: Norton Commander!!
I think Nikos expanded on that thought when he decided to make this the default for 2X and later X²

Dumb questions are the ones that are never asked
