Hi all,
I'm trying to set Xplorer2 as my default folder application. I read "registry.text" and tried modifying the registry but became unsure so I'm asking here before I mess up my registry. I've worked in the registry many times, I'm just being super careful here.
1. The doc says to create a key "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\open\command]" I think this requires creating a new key called "open" under "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\" and then another new key called "command" under the new "open" key.
Is that correct - I need to create two new keys, one under the other?
2. Next, the doc says to "set this (Default) value:
"C:\Program files\zabkat\xplorer2\xplorer2.exe" "%1" and that ""%1" is required (including the quotation marks), and is replaced by the folder path you are trying to open"
This is where I'm unsure. What are the steps here? Do I just right-click on the "command" key icon and select "new"? If so, what type of value do I choose? Am I supposed to create a string value, binary value or Dword value?
One I create the value what actually goes in place of the ""%1" value? Do I actually replace the percent sign and "1" character with the path for xplorer2?
I hope my question is clear.
Thanks in advance for any help.
